Wow! SC Child Support Order Review Form!

I have looked and looked for this form and filed the wrong one more than once!  I started begging SC attorneys today via email and contact forms and offered web design services for exchange.  I received a response from one of them that I had worked with years ago, when my ex-husband was trying to have me in jail for non-payment.  He helped me then, and he is helping me now and I wanted to post it in case anyone is driving themselves crazy with an out-of-state child support and custody battle.  Hope it helps!

Question: My wife needs to file a continuance (In Berkeley county)

From JUSTANSWER.COMMy wife needs to file a continuance (In Berkeley county South Carolina) for two family court hearings that she just recieved papers for last week. One is a Rule (for “non payment of medical bills”)  and the other is a hearing to close out the custdy battle we have been fighting for 4 yrs.   The first one is just nine days away.  I was told we could call the clerk of court to request a continuance, but that did not work.  They stated that all request must be in writing in the format they require.  The problem is they would not tell us what format to put the request in, who to send it to, or what the filing fee would be.  We need to do this immediatly so that my wife does not have a warrant for faliure to appear.  (We are in alabama and have not been able to obtain representation yet)    Please Help!!  (from: http://www.justanswer.com/family-law/1a23q-wife-needs-file-continuance-in-berkeley-county.html#SeeTheAnswer

Since I recently had to do this, you MUST complete this form which is Berekeley County’s COVER SHEET and is required!!! Also, you must submit a written request, describing the reason for request and when you will be able to attend the hearing. The letter must be received within 10 days of the hearing date.  Below, is the format that I used.  Finally, you must include a money order payable to Berkeley County Clerk of Court for $25.
